Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are no longer able to rehearse or perform. We don't have a working plan to enable us to return. We are working on it, though, and will post here (and on Facebook) as soon as we have news!
If you are new to the city and don't have your instrument, we may be able to help or refer you to local resources. We have a fairly full complement of percussion instruments including kit, timpani, vibraphone, congas etc.
We are a community band whose members have a wide variety of experience levels ranging from "developing" to professional. Our repertoire generally ranges from level 3 to 5, with performance material tending to average level 3.5 in difficulty. If you can only play the quarter notes you're still welcome, but we have material to challenge all players.
Please check the Calendar page for a full list of rehearsal and performance dates.
Dues for the 2019-2020 season remain at $200 per year for adults, $100 per year for post-secondary students, and free for secondary students. Dues may be paid annually, semi-annually, or even monthly. If finances are an issue, please speak to one of the executive in confidence.
All players are asked to arrive between 7 and 7:20 PM so that we can be seated and warmed up ready to start promptly at 7:30 PM. As you're no doubt aware, late arrivals can be quite disruptive. After contacting us, first time attendees need to arrive by 7 in order to receive a folder from the librarian. Stands are provided at the rehearsal space.
