Due to the current health orders, we have cancelled all rehearsals until further notice.
Our home is in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. If you'd like to join us, please feel welcome to!
We are currently rehearsing either at the Russian Hall, 600 Campbell Ave, Vancouver, BC V6A 3K1, Canada, (in either the upstairs or the downstairs hall - the entrance is on Campbell Avenue and you'll be directed) or at the Polish Hall at 24th and Fraser. . Please check the calendar (link above) to see where we're rehearsing as our schedule is somewhat erratic due to Covid issues. We hope to return to our usual venue in the new year.
All players/visitor/observers must be fully vaccinated, show the usual proof, and be masked when not actually playing.
If you are new to the city and don't have your instrument, we may be able to help or refer you to local resources. We have a fairly full complement of percussion instruments including kit, timpani, vibraphone, congas etc.
We are a community band whose members have a wide variety of experience levels ranging from "developing" to professional. Our repertoire generally ranges from level 3 to 5, with performance material tending to average level 3.5 in difficulty. If you can only play the quarter notes you're still welcome, but we have material to challenge all players.
Please check the Calendar page for a full list of rehearsal and performance dates.
Dues for the 2021-2022 season are yet to be determined.
All players are asked to arrive between 7 and 7:20 PM so that we can be seated and warmed up ready to start promptly at 7:30 PM. As you're no doubt aware, late arrivals can be quite disruptive. After contacting us, first time attendees need to arrive by 7 in order to receive a folder from the librarian. Stands are NOT provided at this time - please bring your own.
