Carrot Cake

1 cup  Margarine
1 cup   Packed brown sugar
4  Eggs
2 cups All Purpose flour
2 tsp  Baking Powder
1 tsp  Salt
½ tsp  Baking soda
2 tsp  Cinnamon
1 tsp  Nutmeg
3 cups Grated carrots
½ cup  raisins
½ cup  chopped pecans or walnuts 
Cream margarine, white and brown sugars and eggs in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until light and creamy.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and spices.  Add to creamed mixture on low speed, mixing just until blended.  Stir in remaining ingredients.  Mix well, 
Spread in greased 13” X 9” cake pan.  Bake at 350F for 50 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 
You can put frosting made of;
1 pkg  cream cheese
¼ cup  margarine
2 tsp  lemon juice
3 cups icing sugar
