In case you're wondering why we have Instrument groups, the only reason is that it makes it easier to email just a group of members - e.g., if I want to send something clarinet specific I can email just the clarinet group and avoid flooding the rest of you with something of little interest!

Apart from this, there's no particular function - if you want to be in more than one group that's no problem!
